Consultancy: Large-Scale Food Fortification and Iodine Nutrition
UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to support its large-scale food fortification and iodine nutrition agenda across West and Central Africa. The 10-month consultancy focuses on technical support, regional coordination, food standards and nutrition policy.
NICEF is recruiting a consultant to provide technical support for large-scale food fortification and universal salt iodisation across the West and Central Africa region.
The assignment involves supporting regional nutrition priorities, strengthening technical and policy frameworks, and contributing to improved standards and regulatory approaches across participating countries.
The consultant will be based in Abuja, with travel across West and Central Africa as required.
This is a specialised consultancy intended for experienced professionals. The vacancy highlights the importance of:
- Strong technical knowledge of large-scale food fortification and universal salt iodisation.
- Understanding of food systems, food standards and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of regulatory monitoring and compliance.
- Familiarity with regional trade systems and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French. Portuguese is desirable.
